The following datasets are used throughout the following sections. Download as required and remember to cite the sources if publishing or sharing any derivative maps.
Central Bounds
A subset of 48 barrios from Madrid’s central districts, used as a study area boundary in the Networks theme. Derived from the Neighbourhoods dataset below.

Cityseer QGIS Plugin
The Cityseer QGIS plugin (v4.23.9) for use with the Networks theme. Install from QGIS via Plugins > Manage and Install Plugins > Install from ZIP.
Neighbourhoods

Description: Delimitation of the 131 neighborhoods of the municipality of Madrid. The names and codes of each neighborhood and the districts to which they belong are indicated. The initial delimitation corresponds to the territorial restructuring of 1987.
Blocks
The Copernicus land monitoring products and services are made available on a principle of full, open and free access, as established by the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1159/2013 of 12 July 2013. Free, full and open access to the products and services of the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service is made on the conditions that:
- When distributing or communicating Copernicus Land Monitoring Service products and services (data, software scripts, web services, user and methodological documentation and similar) to the public, users shall inform the public of the source of these products and services.
- Where the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service products and services have been adapted or modified by the user, the user shall clearly state this.
- Users shall make sure not to convey the impression to the public that the user’s activities are officially endorsed by the European Union.

Premises

Description: Microdata file of the census of premises and activities of the Madrid City Council, classified according to their type of access (street door or grouped), situation (open, closed…) and indication of the economic activity exercised and the hospitality and restaurant terraces that appear registered in said census.

Madrid Metro GTFS
GTFS feed for Madrid’s metro network (all lines). Contains schedules, stops, routes, shapes, and frequencies.

Bilbao Climate Rasters
Used in the Climate theme. These rasters cover a 3.4km x 3.4km area of Bilbao centred on the Casco Viejo and Nervion riverfront, in EPSG:25830 (ETRS89 / UTM zone 30N).
Surface models (derived from LiDAR):
- BDSM.tif - Normalised Digital Surface Model (building heights above ground), 2.5m resolution.
- CDSM.tif - Canopy Digital Surface Model (vegetation heights above ground), 2.5m resolution.
- DEM.tif - Digital Elevation Model (terrain baseline), 5m resolution.

- bilbao_2021.epw - EnergyPlus Weather file for Bilbao (43.29°N, 2.97°W), hourly data for 2021.
